Klevio app 3.0: A Smarter, More Streamlined Way to Manage Your Keys

Klevio app version 3.0 brings a refined experience with clearer navigation, a new menu for easier access to actions, and a sleeker design for the My Keys, Shared, and Event Log. We’ve improved how key statuses are displayed, made offline keys easier to spot, and introduced better filtering options. Read on to see what’s new and how these changes make managing your keys even simpler.

Clearer Naming

To make things more intuitive, we’ve adjusted the names of a couple of tabs. The Keys tab, where all your keys are listed, is now called My Keys – a small but meaningful change that makes it clearer that these are yours. Meanwhile, the tab, which shows the keys you’ve shared with others, is now Shared. This tab only appears when you have shareable keys, keeping things uncluttered.

Introducing the Menu

We resisted adding a menu for as long as we could, but as we introduced more useful features, it became necessary. You’ll now find a “hamburger” menu button in the top-right corner of both My Keys and Shared.

This menu consolidates all available actions for each tab, making them easier to find and access.

Upgrades to the My Keys tab

We’ve refined the design of keys to make them clearer and more space-efficient. While we’ve removed custom icons (we know some of you will miss them – sorry!), we’ve kept key colours. This change frees up space, ensuring that the key name and description remain front and centre.

Keys that are time-limited or offline now display clearer status information. The third line of text is used to show whether a key isn’t valid yet, has an expiry date, or is offline. Offline keys are also greyed out and now feature a red exclamation mark on the right, making them easier to spot at a glance.

We’ve also moved some familiar actions into the menu:

  • Share a Key – Previously found by swiping left on a key (which still works).
  • Filter – A must-have for power users with lots of keys, now more easily accessible.
  • Reorder – Previously under the pencil icon in the top left, now moved into the menu.
  • Refresh – Used when you’re expecting a new key and want to update immediately. This was previously in the spot now occupied by the menu button.

A Streamlined Shared Tab

The Shared tab has also had a refresh. The large “Share a Key” banner is gone – it now lives in the menu, giving you more space for what matters.

We’ve also compacted the title line. Instead of a separate grouping toggle, you can now tap the title to switch between grouping by people or keys. This change makes better use of space, meaning you’ll see nearly two extra rows of shared keys or people at a time.

A Cleaner Event Log

The Event Log has had a tidy-up as well. Since custom key icons are gone, we’ve removed them from the log too, making entries cleaner. There’s now more space for the actor’s name, and the lock/unlock action has been moved to a dedicated line on the right – though we’ve kept the icon for quick recognition.

A long-requested improvement is that timestamps now always show the full date and time. No more vague references like “Yesterday at 09:41” – you’ll see exact times at a glance.

We’ve also introduced a filter in the menu, allowing you to narrow down events by key name or actor name. If you’re looking for a specific entry, this makes the log significantly easier to use.
